CULTURAL HERITAGE OF RAJASTHAN
A workshop on Cultural Heritage held today in the school premises by UNESCO and Rajasthan tourism department. The Master Trainer Explained about the Cultural Heritage of Rajasthan. Both Tangible and Intangible Heritage was discussed during the workshop. Tangible cultural heritage refers to things that we can store or physically touch. Examples of tangible cultural heritage include traditional clothing, tools, buildings, artwork, monuments, and modes of transportation. Intangible cultural heritage refers to things that are not physical items but exist intellectually.
Master Trainer also told that Kalbeliya Folk Dance is
enlisted in UNESCO ICH List. Like wise the Panja Dari work of SALAWAS village
is also enlisted in this list.
The expert of Panja Dari work also demonstrated the Dari Weaving
process to the students. Students
learned about the frame and Panja tool used in the weaving of Dari. They also
keenely observed the weaving process and asked questions related to the process
and about final product.
