International Women's Day Celeberated

Mrs Pratibha Sharma, Mrs Shashi Chaoudhary and Mrs Meenal Benjamin Honored 

Women’s Day celebrates the very essence of women all over the world. This day marks the importance of why women should be treated equally without any bias or prejudice. On March 8, Women’s Day is commemorated to honor women of all ages and races in a world where they can live freely and up to their own terms. 

"This International Women’s Day, 8 March, join UN Women and the world, in coming together under the theme ‘Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow’, and call for climate action for women, by women," the United Nations has said.

A National Woman's Day (NWD) was marked in the United States on 28 February 1909, but it wasn't until 1911 that the first International Women's Day took place (with Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland taking part). In 1975, the event was made 'official' by through recognition by the United Nations (UN).

On This eve The principal of the local School Mrs pratibha Sharma and Mrs Shashi Choudhary, APC SMSA, Jodhpur was honored with Shawl by the girl students and staff of SMS School Jodhpur.  

Retired Sen. Lab Assistant, Chair person of Rakesh Benjamin Trust and School Bhamashah Mrs Meenal Benjamin was also honored with shawl and garlands by the Officials of the Education Department and school Staff as well.

दिन की रौशनी ख्वाबों को बनाने में गुज़र गई,
रात की नींद बच्चे को सुलाने में गुज़र गई,
जिस घर में मेरे नाम की तख्ती भी नहीं है,

तमाम उम्र उस घर को सजाने में गुजर गई।
